Grape-Nuts Fit Summit Sampler at Puzzle Mountain
Sunday, June 02, 2013
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Puzzle Mountain, Route 26, Newry, Maine
Post Grape-Nuts is celebrating the 60th anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary's ascent of Mt. Everest by providing samples of Grape-Nuts at summits all over the country.
You do not need to climb Mt. Everest--you can get your free sample at the summit of Puzzle Mountain. Puzzle Mountain has spectacular views of the Mahoosuc and Presidential ranges, first from ledges below the summit, then from several places on the summit. The new Woodsum Loop is a challenging high-altitude loop off the main trail
that has recently been rerouted to terminate lower on the trail descent
. Total hike of 8+ miles includes the loop.
This is a moderately strenuous hike and hikers should be in good physical condition. Hiking to the first set of ledges is a rewarding experience if you cannot make it to the summit or the loop trail. Samples will be distributed along the trail and at the Summit.
